In mid-2025, shared mobility platform Check, best known for its iconic purple scooters across Dutch cities, reached out to us to create their national staff event. With teams spread across multiple hubs throughout the country, the company had three clear goals: to celebrate their people, give the top performers a moment in the spotlight, and strengthen the bonds within the team. We developed Check Festival, a playful world filled with interactive surprises.
The Amsterdam event venue Helling7 was transformed into a vibrant festival ground, where something exciting awaited around every corner: from a face-paint caravan and karaoke camper to a Nintendo arcade and traditional Dutch multiplayer games.
Before dinner – a barbecue prepared by the culinary team from restaurant Helling7 – the stage was set for the Check Awards. The founders honored the highest-rated colleagues and presented them with well-deserved prizes.
As the moon rose high above the venue, the evening took an unexpected turn. The crowd fell silent when an announcement revealed that a new space had opened. Large sliding doors unveiled a hidden world where an electrifying party unfolded — with a custom-made disco ball crafted from an actual Check scooter as the centerpiece. What a night.
